Pearl Izumi Toe Covers
It’s my great hope that these toe covers …

… revive what was otherwise been a lackluster winter on the bike.
I’ve found that riding in winter is all about motivation and it’s very demotivating to have cold toes on a ride. That’s a fact.
Sunday Ride Through the RNP.
It was also a day when the wind threatened to blow us over. On a weather observation point not too far from where we rode, it was gusting at 50kph.
With the exception of the said wind, it was a great ride. The actual distance was 55km. Felt more like 70-80 with those headwinds.
Anyway. Onto the photos!!

Rapha
I’m feeling the pressure to buy some Rapha gear. Can’t work out why though.
Team Rapha.

Gloves. Gloves. Man Purse.

Tim was the winner of the day with 8 pieces of Rapha clothing. Therefore he got to stand next to the team car and get his photo taken.

This is my Liz
She’s different to the other Liz’s out there. Mainly cause she’s smarter, funnier, hotter and more awesome than the others.

Oh. And I love her infinitely more than the other Liz’s.
128km
As part of Liz and I’s 101 things in 1001 days, I want to ride 200km in one sitting. Now I’ve still got a long time to pull that off, but there’s no time like the present to start training.
On Sunday I rode 128kms.

Very happy with my effort. Especially the part where I woke up to be out of the house at 5am (IN WINTER) and braving 3.5 degree weather with no shoe covers.

Towards the end I lacked power in my legs, but didn’t suffer from cramps. That’s a win in my books.
Inspiration
I don’t believe I’ve mentioned it on here before, but I’ve been running a tumblr site for a while now. It’s inspirational stuff I find in my travels. This mostly relates to biking, cats, architecture and randomness.
ins.piration.com is the web address, and this is the rss feed.
Check it out if you like things.
